Be careful of your back if you have any “back issues” and you can do this by always keeping your feet on the floor when you crunch, no matter the girl on the TV or the guy doing hip-hop crunches says – if you hurt your back, you’re out of commission – period – end of story and you can’t crunch for a while anyway, right?
How will you know? You will feel a slight tug or pull in your back muscles if you have strained a ligament or a tendon, so don’t go there! The slogan – no pain, no gain was meant for Marines, not us! Soreness is great! Stiffness is cool – pain is not! Got it? Good!
